I work mainly from photographs, so the first meeting with my client entails a discussion of the client's expectations and photography site. I will take time talking with and observing the subject and conceptualizing the composition.
A photo session is arranged and I take the photos myself whenever possible but existing photos can also be used.The subject is photographed with a digital camera in a variety of poses and lighting conditions. If any special costumes or props are requested, the cost for those are incurred by the client. This session takes approximately 2-3 hours. From these photos, I will choose a photo that I think best showcases the subject.
After returning to my studio, I create a small digital color study indicating the intended composition, colors, dimensions, and send this to my client for approval. This allows for the client to preview what the portrait will look like and is also an opportunity for the client to offer final comments before the painting begins.
Delivery of the framed portrait is arranged upon its completion, usually within six months of approval of the color study. The cost of the photography is included in the listed price.
The cost of packing, shipping and insuring the final work is incurred by the client
Additional subjects on the same canvas are priced at %20 less.
One- half payment is required at the time of commission and signing of the contract. The balance is paid at time of delivery or before the painting is shipped.
Transportation, & lodging are in addition to the above fees.
